The amount of high school sports that goes on in the spring is truly at a level at the top. When student-athletes compete in track and field, baseball, softball and golf it keeps fans and coaches on the go. Since it’s the busiest time of the year for most coaches, it is also a time that coaches or athletic directors can make contacts with colleges or universities on behalf of student-athletes that just might have that ability to compete at the next level.
It has felt for some time now that a lot of institutions rely on parents to make highlight films and contact colleges. But with the amount of spring sports it gives student-athletes more occasions to impress coaches or recruiters. However, with just over four weeks left in the school year, it is time to dig in and get it done.
