Former Oklahoma offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson is coming back to the Sooners coaching staff as an offensive analyst, sources have confirmed to Sooners Illustrated. Wilson coached at OU from 2002-2010 while Brent Venables was on staff as the defensive coordinator under head coach Bob Stoops.
Wilson left Oklahoma to take over as the head coach at Indiana, where he led the Hoosiers from 2011-2016. After a stint as the offensive coordinator at Ohio State, Wilson then came back to the Sooner State as the head coach at Tulsa, but he was ultimately fired midseason last fall.
While at OU, Wilson won the Broyles Award in 2008 as the top assistant coach in college football as the Sooners’ offense was one of the premier in the country helping OU win the Big 12 and reach the BCS National Championship Game behind Heismanwinning quarterback Sam Bradford.
