The windchill in McIntosh County hit a low of 1 degree Sunday, but the bone-chilling weather didn’t cause any major problems other than staying warm.
Leslie Phillips, County Emergency Director, said Monday he didn’t have any reports of power outages, fires or other problems during the deepest part of the deep freeze.
However, the county isn’t out of the cooler yet – there’s a chance of snow Thursday and Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
Oklahoma Mesonet predicts a low Thursday of 26 and high of 39, with a chance of snow.
