A couple of Santa’s elves got finished at their workshop early before Christmas and decided to spread some Christmas joy this season which resulted in a little more excitement than expected. For several months, Spring and Monty Morrow had planned to dress up as elves and go around town spreading joy. So right before Christmas break, the Morrows decide to spread some joy with several businesses that were on Santa’s “Good List.”
They included the following: Checotah Gun and Pawn Heartland Heritage Museum Checotah Laundry OSU Extension Office Checotah Farm Bureau Walmart First Freewill Baptist Church However, the biggest ripple of laughter came when these elves (who are also parents) came to Checotah Middle School as classes were letting out for Christmas break. As they scurried around the parking lot trying to catch their teenage daughter, they pled with her to stop and give them a hug as she ran across the campus in disbelief. Not only did these Elves’ shenanigans cause their children some spectacular embarrassment but they also targeted several other children exiting their final classes on Wednesday, Dec. 18 which had other parents laughing hysterically.
So the community definitely felt the love and joy this couple intended to bring to all. Plus they also taught their children not to run from the embarrassment but to embrace it and spread joy wherever and whenever possible.
These elves were on the move this whole month with so many shenanigans and so little time to spread Christmas cheer. From helping with the Angle Trees for the Lions Club and Checotah Art Guild to attending work events and more, they really spread some serious joy this year.
