Area runners punch ticket to State

Several area cross-country runners punched their ticket to the State meet to be held at Edmond Santa Fe Saturday November 2, 2024. Checotah and Eufaula cross-country teams competed in the Class 4A Regional meet in Henryetta on Saturday. Eufaula freshman Baylor Bohannon placed 24th out of 124 participants with a time of 18:41.79 and will represent the Ironheads in Saturday’s event.

Ruby and Ruthy Folkner will represent Checotah in the State meet. Ruthy Folkner placed 21st with a time of 13:56.39 and Ruby placed 23rd with a time of 13:59.14 out of a field of 100.
