Holiday antlerless deer gun season is Dec. 18-31, during which hunters are allowed to harvest up to two antlerless white-tailed deer that do not count toward the hunter’s combined season limit of six deer. Annual hunting license holders need a deer gun license to participate. Deer gun licenses obtained for the regular deer gun season are still valid for the holiday antlerless deer season. Youth under 18 years old need a youth annual super hunting license.
Thanks to the Wildlife License Modernization Act that went into effect July 1, some 50 Oklahoma hunting and fishing licenses were condensed to about 14. The end result is more funding for conservation, and simplification of licensing for hunters looking to expand their hunting opportunities.
