Driver killed east of Longtown

A traffic fatality three miles east of Longtown in Pittsburg County is being investigated by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred at about 5 a.m. Sunday, Dec.l, on SH 9 and County Line road.

The identity of the victim has not been released.

According to the OHP report a 1993 Chevrolet Z71 was traveling westbound on SH 9 when it crossed the center line, left the roadway to the left and struck a culvert, overturned once and caught fire.
