Marshall Elementary Principal Katelyn Walker and her staff are always amazed at how much their elementary students bring in during their one and only fundraiser each year. This year students raised $30,716 during their Annual Walkathon event.
“The kids always look forward to our walkathon and they can’t wait to find out who won prizes,” Walker said. “The money raised allows our students to experience meaningful field trips and be rewarded for academic success as well as exceptional character. We will also be able to replace some of our worn-out playground equipment.”
It was a great day for all the Marshall students from Pre-K to 2nd grade to walk and enjoy some sunshine along with fresh air. Of course there was extra fun to be had as classes got to take their turn playing games, getting their faces painted and bouncing on a couple bounce houses too.
