Plumb Theatre News
By MATTIE AND PAUL MALOY PLUMB THEATRE,

A Gospel Explosion of Gospel Music erupted this past Saturday night when the number one male gospel singer, Jason Crabb, took the stage and ignited the crowd with his enthusiastic music.

This could not have happened without the help of the community. Thank you all.

I want to give special thanks to Runt’s BBQ. Although he is in Muskogee, he always supports this festival. Another Muskogee sponsor was Square Deal.

I want to give a big shout out to the Bank of Eufaula, the Freedom Ford dealership of Eufaula, Hunn’s Funeral Home of Eufaula, Jay’s Equipment and our new sponsor Heritage Waste Management.

We would like to invite any business in the Eufaula area or surrounding area to be a partner in this concert, to call the Plumb Theatre.

Thanks to all the volunteers in every aspect from picking up trash, to working booths, to parking cars, to taking tickets, every job is important and so are you all.

A special thank you to Mr. Ken Shipman, for working diligently daily to help prepare for this festival. It would take too long to mention everything he did: from battling ants to putting up tarps to painting, up until 6:45 p.m. Saturday evening to use his euphoric voice to sing his songs.

The dream that started the Plumb Theatre, which includes a Gospel Show every Friday night and a Country Show every Saturday night, has included, over the years, hundreds of singers and musicians sitting in with the Uprights.

Paul Maloy, 87 years young, is still appearing, singing and playing every show for the theatre and every festival for the last 11 years.

So, I guess the biggest sponsor of the Plumb Theatre Gospel Show, Country Show and the Gospel Fest, is George Strait, for cutting a song that Paul Maloy and his son, David Maloy wrote.

Special thanks to all the groups, musicians, singers and all the people who bought arm bands.

Remember it’s not a show without you .
