DEATH NOTICES

COUNCIL HILL – Brett Anthony Hayes, 37, passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2024. A celebration of life was held October 14 at Cornerstone Funeral Home.

FORT GIBSON – Richard Trey Thompson, 55, entered his eternal heavenly home on Tuesday, October 8, 2024. A celebration of life was held Friday, October 11 at the Community Gospel Center in Fort Gibson.

EUFAULA – Walter Lee Pettit, 83, passed away Monday, October 14, 2024 at his home in Eufaula, OK. A memorial service was held Saturday, October 19 at Lake Eufaula Christian Church.

CHECOTAH – Bertha Lois “Dolly” Coleman, 97, entered her heavenly home, on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. A memorial service was held Tuesday, October 22 at Lighthouse Christian Center.

COUNCIL HILL – Karen Sue “Susie” Madewell, 67, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, in Tulsa, OK. A funeral service was held on Monday, October 21 at Hunn Funeral Home in Checotah.
