CIS recently had a group of Checotah Intermediate students participated in a Cross Country Track Meet held in Checotah at Checotah Sports Complex on Oct. 8.
The elementary race had over 12 attending schools containing approximately 101 girls and 158 boys that competed.
Third through Fifth grade boys all ran in one heat. Then Third through Fifth grade girls ran their heat. Those that came in 1st through 45th were handed out placement ribbons based on the placement below: Blue ribbon- 1st through 15th Red ribbon – 16th through 30th Yellow – 31st through 45th Sixteen CIS students were finalists that earned placement ribbons in the elementary division.
CIS had four Top 15 Blue Ribbon students: Jaxxton Flud – 3rd grade, Landon Barlow and Camden Hays – 4th grade, and Kutter Ward with a 3rd place finish 5th grade.
The rest of these CIS students were Red Ribbon and Yellow Ribbon recipients: Eli Kisner and Jentry Flud – 3rd grade; Daesyn Suits, Tayven Patterson, Waylen Storm, Rileigh Wood, Sunday Ferrell and Rylan Smithee – 4th grade; Case Rolland, Addison Buchanan, Kinlee Frame and Shonna Hopson – 5th grade.
CIS is proud of all of their students that participated in the Cross Country Track Meet.
