Don’t forget to mark your calendar for one of the biggest events of the year in Eufaula – Vision Eufaula’s Wine & Art Festival, set for Saturday, Sept. 7, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The main event takes place at 150 N. Front St., the vacant lot south of Nelson Feed & Seed.
This year there is an added attraction, a kid’s area featuring giant yard games, an obstacle course, an inflatable race track with oversized trikes and a square bounce house. There’s also a kids’ train and face painting as well as an art activity tent hosted by the local library.
Guests 21 and over will also enjoy a variety of wines while browsing vendor booths.
More than 30 adult artists have entered this year’s event, and more are expected before the event that takes place.
The adult artists are vying for $500 for first place, $300 for second and $200 for third place. Three judges will determine the winners.
Youngsters are competing for $100 for first, $60 for second and $40 for third.
In addition to artists at work or simply on hand to sell their creations, four bands will perform; there will be five food trucks, four samples from wineries and three breweries and trolley rides to visit all of the murals that adorn the town.
