The McIntosh County Democratic Party will hold their monthly meeting on Sept. 10 at 6:30 p.m. in Checotah at the Jim Lucas Public Library.

Brandon Wade, our candidate for US Representative CD2, will also be attending our September meeting.

The guest speaker for the meeting will be Nathan Brewer, running for Oklahoma State Senate District 8 in the upcoming Special Election on March 4, 2025.

Brewer was born and raised in Arlington, TX, and moved to Henryetta in 2010.

He is a father of six children and is active in the Henryetta community.

Nathan has worked most of his life in general government. His daughter was killed in 2023 by a man that had been released early from prison for “good behav- lor.

» Brewer has been an advocate for “Knight’s Law,” which failed to pass the Senate, since his daughter’s death.

“There was no reason HB 3992 shouldn’t have passed. I will fight for Oklahomans, to make this state a better place.”
