You’re Invited: Kaw WMA Volunteer Field Day
Grasslands are a key natural ecosystem throughout Oklahoma, but woody encroachment is becoming the leading cause of grassland loss in the great plains. But there are things you can do to help!
Join the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation at 8:30 a.m. July 20 at Kaw Wildlife Management Area for a volunteer field day where you will see, learn and practice easy land management techniques, such as the “hack and squirt” method, to improve grassland habitat. Whether your interest is hunting, birdwatching, ecosystem restoration, or even grazing, this field day is for you!
