Oklahoma State running back Ollie Gordon II won’t be suspended and instead will be punished internally following his arrest on June 30, Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy told media members Tuesday during the Big 12 Media Days.
Gordon was arrested on suspicion of DUI on June 30 and has since been charged with a criminal misdemeanor — which was filed Monday.
Gundy said that Gordon, the nation’s leading rusher last season, won’t serve a suspension and he will be punished internally, but before that was settled and before Gordon attended the Big 12 event in Las Vegas, they talked about what would be best for him. They eventually landed on him not “hiding” and making the trip to Las Vegas for the Big 12 Media Days.
