Two men, including a Checotah resident, were not injured in a twovehicle accident on July 9 in Sequoyah County that claimed the life of a Muldrow woman.

The deceased was identified as Janet Needham, 66, the driver of a 2012 Ram 3500.

Richard Head, 56, of Checotah, was a passenger in a 2016 Ram 2500 driven by James Pezehouse, 54, of Warner.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the accident is still under investigation.

It took place at about 2:20 p.m. at the intersection of two rural county roads three miles east of Sallisaw.

Needham was taken to a Sallisaw hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
