Skip Johnson to stay at OU
University of Oklahoma baseball head coach Skip Johnson is set to sign a lucrative contract extension to remain with the Oklahoma Sooners. Under Johnson, the Sooners have undergone a program renaissance in recent seasons including a trip to the College World Series finals in 2022. Johnson, who was the pitching coach at OU baseball for a single season after spending the previous decade as the assistant head coach at Texas, took over in June of 2017.
The Sooners had a historic season in which they won the Big 12 regular season title for the first time in program history and hosted a regional for the first time since 2010.
