Kimberly Dawn Reed, 39, pled guilty recently to rape by instrumentation of an exotic dancer at the 69 Cattle Company strip club as well as multiple other charges.
The Hanna resident, on June 10, also pled guilty to attempted escape, bail jumping, possession of a stolen vehicle, forgery in the second degree, taking or receiving a stolen credit or debit card, possession of a controlled dangerous substance (meth) and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
District Judge Mike Hogan sentenced Reed to five years in the Department of Corrections on the rape charge and two years on the attempted escape charge. He sentenced her to various prison terms, ranging from two to three years, on each of the other charges and then suspended the sentences.
The rape took place at a club on Old Highway 69 north of Eufaula.
According to a probable cause affidavit filed by McIntosh County Deputy Sheriff Christian Degraffenreid, the deputy responded to a call the night of Jan. 8 about an alleged sexual assault on a dancer that took place onstage at the club.
According to Degraffenreid, the victim stated that she was performing a dance routine when Reed suddenly digitally assaulted her.
The suspect had left the scene when Degraffenreid arrived, he said.
As he was taking statements an unidentified nearby resident called the club manager and said the suspect was in her home hiding in a closet and she wanted her removed, according to the report.
Degraffenreid stated that he went to the house and eventually coaxed the suspect out of the closet and he transported her to jail.
Enroute, she started kicking the dashboard, undid her seatbelt and attempted to escape through a window.
