The Eufaula football coaching staff has seen an increase in the number of athletes participating in the Summer Pride workouts. Coaches can’t stress enough how important training in the off-season is.
“No doubt it makes a difference especially when August comes around and the football season is upon us,” Eufaula assistant coach Wade Couch said on Monday.
Eufaula has been averaging around 40 athletes each day to participate in the weight room and agility drills.
“I want to do everything I can to be the best I can be this year,” Eufaula senior Connor McAllister said.
McAllister has played a key role for the Ironheads at the center position and on the defensive line if needed.
To be in the best shape possible is the goal for the Eufaula Ironheads during Summer Pride.
Eufaula participates in the Summer Pride Program Monday to Wednesday 6:30-9:30 a.m. and then takes part in the Muskogee Football camps each Thursday.
