Come out and hear stories from Checotah’s Legends of Rodeo and find out why Checotah became so well-known in the rodeo world and still is today with last names like Duvall, Berry, Roper, Combs and more.
On Thursday, June 27, bring the whole family to the Heartland Heritage Museum & Gallery at 116 N. Broadway in Checotah to meet the stars in person.
Stop in to hear several rodeo legends and their legacies tell stories about the good ol’ days of steer wrestling, hazing and barrel racing. Then browse the museum and see memorabilia of those glory days.
Sit back and enjoy a cup of cowboy stew with cornbread, as you watch video interviews never seen before along with live action clips of National Finals Rodeo Championships of years past.
Doors open at 6 p.m. to the public.
This is a free event but please RSVP to 405570-3569 by June 23 to ensure seating and supper.
