Last Friday Fast Lanes Bowl students raked in the scholarship money and awards from their USBC 2024 Oklahoma Youth State Championship at Planet Bowl in Midwest City. A total of 170 students participated in the event with 39 Teams, 85 Doubles and 170 Singles. Sixteen young bowlers from Fast Lanes attended the bowl through the Oklahoma USBC that provides benefits, resources and programs to enhance the bowling experience and reward bowlers to have “A Future for the Sport.”
The Rockin Homeschoolers brought in $860 with the following bowlers: Colin LaRue $37.50, Boys Team B – 2nd Hunter Barry $247.50, Boys Team B – 2nd, Boys Doubles C -1st Hannah Barry $240, Girls Singles C – 3rd Lucy LaRue $335, Girls Doubles B – 3rd, Girls All Events Hdcp C – 2nd, Girls Singles C – 1st The Afterschool Fly 19 brought in $1,290 with the following bowlers: Katie Pharaoh $60, Mixed Doubles B – 3rd James Pharaoh $60, Mixed Doubles B – 3rd Kylie Miller $50, Girls Team – 1st Conner Turney $37.50, Boys team B 2nd Ava Turney $50, Girls Team – 1st Olivia Herron $165, Girls Doubles A – 1st, Girls Team -1st Hannah Duke $195, Girls Singles C – 2nd, Girls Doubles B – 3rd Levi Cash Davis $327.50, Boys Doubles C – 1st, Boys Singles C – 5th, Boys Team B – 2nd Maddison Turney $345, Girls Team – 1st, Girls Singles B -3rd, Girls All Events Hdcp B -1st, Girls Doubles A -1st All together the groups earned $2,150 in scholarships and awards.
Michelle Turney stated Fast Lanes is the only center in the Green Country Association that has a youth program and she’s proud to work with these young bowlers who are earning money for their future education.
