Team places 8th overall
The Checotah High School Wrestling team did a great job at the Glenpool Wrestling Tournament. The team placed 8th out of a highly competitive 26-team field. Sophomore and reigning state champion Colt Collett earned his 100th victory at the tournament. Collett is on track to win his third State Championship.
“I’m so proud of this team. They have been working hard everyday. They know what I expect from them. If they give me their best everyday they will be successful in competition and they proved that today. Colt did another great job and got his 100th victory. I thought that Leland, Keith, Jayden and Reighn gave a lot of effort in a very tough field.
This team continues to improve with each match and we’re looking forward to achieving our goal,” Checotah head coach Bret Oleson said.
