Eufaula Lady Ironheads
The Eufaula Lady Ironheads return to the court with high expectations. The Ironheads return with several key seniors on the team in Kambry Williams, Adi McKinzie, Allie Anderson and Jordas McClish. You can bet that a high energy defense will be part of the success this season with Kate Pippenger, Maddie Ballard, Johna Bumgarner, Jadence Efurd and Ariel Greenlee. Offensively Eufaula has Williams, McClish and Anderson who can hit the long perimeter shots while Ballard, Efurd and Pippenger can play great in and out of the paint. They will have some great rebounders in Efurd, Bumgarner, Pippenger and Ballard.
“We have a lot of players returning from last year’s team that played significant minutes for us. We also have three new players who didn’t play last year for us who will have roles on the team this year and I’m excited about what they bring! We have high expectations coming off the run we had last post season! We hope to build off that success and go even further this year! Go Lady Ironheads,” Eufaula head coach Nick Yarbrough said.
Eufaula Ironheads
In his first season at Eufaula, former University of Central Oklahoma coach Rob McKinzie has already made huge advances with play calling. The Ironheads will play fast and hard and give great effort. They have several athletes in key positions. Landon Mills and Draven Gragg will dominate the paint along with Jaxon Lange. McKinzie will have a large number of shooting guards in Jentry James, Maddox Bridges, Keaton Parish and Dresden Chiles. A big addition is Warner transfer Ty Spears. This kid can flat out play and has a motor running the entire time on the court.
Defensively, Eufaula plans on forcing turnovers and shutting down shooting lanes and they have the players to do it. The Ironheads also have several underclassmen that can contribute in Dusty Eby, Levi Chapman, Bryce Casey and Jace Davis, Daxton Anderson.
