From kindergarten graduation to 8th grade promotion to elementary awards and high school awards, Checotah schools have had several busy weeks as they awarded their students and sta_ achievements and focused on their last days of school.
This last week at school has been busy with the Senior Baccalaureate this past Sunday at First Baptist Church, the Senior Scholarship Assembly on Monday night and the Athletic Award Assembly on Tuesday night.
On Wednesday, May 24, the seniors took their Last Senior Walk around the campus at Checotah High School, taking a moment to remember all the good times and reflect on all their years as a Wildcat.
Of course, all the fun and festivities aren’t over just yet. On Thursday, May 25, the whole community is invited out to the Checotah Sports Complex from 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. for the annual Sliding into Summer Bash and Senior Sunset. There will be food trucks, corn hole, kickball, music and more. So bring your lawn chair for a night to remember these seniors and celebrate their successes.
Friday night, May 26, the Class of 2023 will walk the stage one last time as they graduate at the Myrtle Wallace-Frost Event Center at 7 p.m.
The McIntosh County Democrat wants to personally congratulate the Class of 2023!
