Due to October being Domestic Violence Awareness Month, I will once again do my part to shine a light on this horrific plight in our community. However, I WISH (or should I say W.I.S.H. which stands for Women In Safe Home) and pray that you never, ever have to walk in my shoes and know the real horrors of domestic violence and its lasting effect on your life or the life or the life of your loved one.
